Wooden Fences, Decks, Steps.

Wooden fence with horizontal battens.

Some people prefer a fence with horizontal battens. They are very easy to climb over, and will not keep small children confined.

Wooden fence with vertical battens.
Double gates with vertical battens.
Single gate with vertical battens.
A fence with vertical battens is more secure. They come with the battens all on one side (illustrated), or both sides with spaces between them. This requires a capping beam at the top.
Because the gates are heavy the hinge posts must be substantial with good foundations, otherwise the gates will drag on the driveway.
The single gate can have lighter hinges, and posts.

Covered Wooden Deck.

This has corrugated plastic to keep the rain off. It also has a low fence around the perimeter.

Wooden steps to raised decks.

We make steps in any configuration to suit. Only treated timber is used for long life. Hand rails are optional, but advised.

Wooden Deck with fabric awning.

We have one like this, it has paid for itself because we don't need a clothes dryer. Just rig up clothes lines on a pulley system so that it can be lowered for access, then raised out of the way. You can have wooden benches around the perimeter. Ours is twenty years old, and the awning is still good.

Picket Fence.
The Picket fence is economical, decretive, and useful as a boundary fence where security, and privacy are not an issue.

Privacy fence with benches.

A quiet spot for a wine, barbecue or whatever.
